This paper is concerned with a method for sizing pipe wall thinning using guided wave. First an inspection mechanism is described by linear elastic systems in circular cylindrical coordinates. Secondly, two types of excitation forces driven by PZT and by MsS are considered in the numerical experiments. Finally,a computational method for sizing pipe wall thinning is tested with simulation data.
