Abstract
The purpose of my work is to develop a new actuator of micro cylinder using a functional anisotropic shape memory alloy fiber. This paper describes a design, fabrication, driving principle and measured basic characteristics of the micro cylinder. BioMetal(Diameter 75 micrometers)made in TOKI Corporation was used as functional anisotropic shape memory alloy fiber. We have developed four types of micro cylinder and have considered the examination about these characteristics.
