Abstract
The purpose of this research is to make a prototype of an intelligent powered wheelchair and to develop a mobility aid for people, who find it difficult or impossible to drive a conventional powered wheelchair. The collision prevention function of the prototype is constructed by using SOKUIKI sensor. In this paper, in order to improve the collision prevention function, we propose the strategies using the virtual sensor.
