Abstract
At present, all feedback control systems are realized using discretized (discrete-time and discrete-value) signals. However, the theory of that type of control systems is limited to the discrete-time (i.e., sampled-data) ones. With respect to the discretization in space, the controller characteristic becomes nonlinear. Thus, the analysis and design of discretized control systems has not been entirely elucidated. This paper deals with a designing (stabilizing) problem of such nonlinear discrete-time control systems on a grid pattern. Especially, in this study, the robustness for the PID controller having a transmission delay is investigated based on numerical simulations.
