Abstract
This paper describes a method for designing nonlinear observers for estimation of unknown input disturbance in discrete time systems. The method extends conventional method, which is proposed by Edwards', to the discrete time systems. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through numerical simulations. The simulation results revealed that the disturbance observer can estimate unknown disturbances in a discrete system.
