Abstract
This paper presents a PID parameter tuning method by using a criterion of sensitivity specification. In a general tuning method, after PID parameters tuning, robustness and set point response is verified from computed sensitivity specification function. On the other hand, sensitivity specification for robustness and set point response can be beforehand decided by the user in the proposed method. Hence, the PID parameters satisfied with the user's control specifications can be tuned directly. Simulation result shows that the proposed method is effective for PID tuning.
