Abstract
For the purpose of contributing to global environment protection, several research studies have been conducted involving clean-burning diesel engines. In recent diesel engines with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems and a Variable Nozzle Turbocharger (VNT), mutual interference between EGR and VNT has been noted.
The MIMO controller that controlled mass air flow (MAF) and intake manifold pressure (MAP) by cooperative operation of EGR and VNT was composed.
We report the design of the saturation compensator that correct the input of the non-saturated side in consideration of the interference characteristic of the plant model and the comparison with the anti windup control and the SISO control etc. Using this method, we achieved precise reference tracking.
