Examination of the transmitter setting method for positioning space unit construction suitable for the expansion in the indoor positioning system

Abstract

In recently, a service using indoor positioning system has increased; therefore the indoor positioning system using spread spectrum ultrasonic waves has been studied in our laboratory. In future, when positioning spaces are extended, a new installation method of transmitter will be considered, for equal accuracy positioning can not be expected. But the proposed method has the problem that other signals can not be detected just below one transmitter. In order to solve this problem, a signal detection experiment using transmitter attached with diffuser was performed. The result is that other signals can be detect just below one transmitter.
