Abstract
Digital transformation (DX) has profoundly impacted modern dentistry, highlighted by theincreasing prevalence of intraoral scanners (IOS) in clinical practice. These devices are now widelyutilized for CAD/CAM-fabricated prosthetic restorations using monolithic materials (e.g., zirconiaand all-ceramics) and for clear aligner orthodontics. This presentation details the clinical transitionwithin our facility, which introduced the PrimeScan (Dentsply Sirona) in 2020. This adoption markeda definitive shift from traditional silicone impression trays to optical impressions for all CAD/CAMbasedprosthetic restorations. Through the demonstration of various clinical cases, this reportwill illustrate the systematic utilization of the IOS in routine prosthetic workflows and confirm itssubstantial utility in enhancing the precision and efficiency of daily restorative procedures.
