Clinical Review for Maxillary Occlusal Plane

Abstract

Since maxillary occlusal plane includes anterior teeth of the esthetic area, it is often decided superior to occlusal plane if the patient needs occlusal reconstruction. Therefore how maxillary occlusal plane is designed is significantly important to obtain the comfortable final restoration and suitable function. The purpose of this article is to review the necessity of examining and maintaining the maxillary occlusal plane for appropriate final restoration.
