Abstract

The traditional industry cultivated by an ancient city (capital function more than 1,000 years) has a big influence, contribution to give to a culture and an economic aspect of Kyoto city. In this report, I focused on manufacturing industry from the economic side and tried Empirical analysis using economic data. Specifically, I employ the twin pair comparison between added value ratio according to the industry and management effectiveness by the analysis (DEA) targeted for comparison with the ordinance-designated city. As a result, I found that the superiority is confirmed in the food industry.
