Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the process in the regeneration of de-industrialized cities, based on art/cultural infrastructure. The method is to evaluate the Yerba Buena Center redevelopment project in San Francisco City, US, as a case study, by examining the economic situation at that time and the policy process, and analyzing how cultural-oriented redevelopment project has influenced on the city and what its factors are. Through this study, the condition of the regeneration of cities is suggested when art/culture can regenerate cities through the cultural-oriented redevelopment project and then cities can sustain their economic situation and amenity.
