Abstract
This essay analyzes the rhetoric of Barack Obama. First, it discusses his campaign rhetoric in 2004 and 2008 U.S. presidential campaigns. Second, it examines the 2008 Obama-McCain TV debates. Third, it scrutinizes Obama's inaugural address in 2009. Finally, it elucidates Obama's Praha speech from the perspective of political communication. The author concludes that Obama should make the use of a rhetorical presidency beyond "postmodern presidency" of the Clinton and Bush administrations.
