ABSTRACT : Typhoon JEBI in 2018 accompanied with the intensified central pressure of approximately 955 hPa generated flooding damage due to historical record-breaking storm surges observed in the wide coastal area of Osaka Bay. This report demonstrates field survey results of storm surge inundation depths along the west coast of Osaka Bay. In addition, the authors presents calculated results of time series of storm surge heights, spatial distributions of maximum inundation depths and maximum significant wave heights around the coast of Kobe city using a coupled model of surge and wave, SuWAT. As a result, the change tendency of time series of storm surge height at Kobe tidal station could be estimated. In addition, the inundation level can be approximately reproduced in the area where the measurement and calculation were both inundated. On the other hand, in the area where the inundation level and the ground level were close, only one of the measurement and calculation was inundated.
