Abstract
This research report is a study of the significance of fundraising in nonprofit organizations, based on a survey of the activities of past award-winning organizations, in preparation for the author's appointment as a member of the selection committee for the 2023 Japan Fundraising Grand Prize. The Japan Fundraising Grand Prize is evaluated on a scale of 1 to 5 for pioneering, empathetic, inspiring, and happiness chain, but it was found that there are currently no criteria for the level of evaluation, so this research report organized the public information available on the winning organizations. From this information, we have attempted to tentatively clarify the criteria for the awards in reverse order. We believe that this will be one indicator of the evaluation criteria for fundraising in nonprofit organizations in the future.
