Abstract
As the publication of cultural resource information centered on historical documents and cultural resources continues to progress though media such as the internet, it is necessary to manage and organize personal name information thereof and to effect the identification of personal name information on the web to make possible efficient and comprehensive searches.
Moreover, historical and social networks, such as bloodlines, shared territorial bonds, master-disciple relationships, relationships between students of the same professors, school ties, etc. Authority file, by storing such information, are also more useful for searching and researching materials on electronic networks. To this end, this research, which emphasizes consideration of information found in historical and social networks, builds authority file that stores basic information related to each person and promotes the identification of personal names on the Web.
This information is used to construct an authoritative source of information on the "shashin-shi (photographer)" that played a in developing photograph and printing industry of pre-War Japan. This paper provides validation of the design of the categories of authoritative information sources, as well as storage and use of the information.
