Abstract

Since 2015, at the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, we have conducting a systematic investigation of student mobilization at the former Tokyo Academy of Music. We also have held concerts of compositions by students who died in World War II, and are building a digital archive of recordings along with their manuscripts. The purpose of this report is to examine a series of activities and clarify the significance, validity, and challenges of passing on their manuscripts and sound sources to future generations.
