Abstract
In this research, we made a hypothesis that at the time of a disaster, the teacher's "professional sense of mission" may surpass "busy feeling" in a situation where control is ineffective. Therefore, we modeled the role the teacher played in the Kumamoto earthquake. We aimed to clarify the actual situation of the professional mission of the teacher at the time of disaster by conducting a comparative survey with "sense of mission" "feeling of busyness" of teachers in non-disaster areas. Therefore, in this study, 26 people who worked at the school affected in the Kumamoto earthquake, 47 people in elementary school teachers in the Kansai area questionnaire survey. As a result, regarding the sense of mission, despite having a high sense of mission regardless of the disaster, the high level of busyness and internal control feeling of the teachers who experienced the disaster is the fact that it has not led to an increase has become clear.
