In order to evaluate neutron data effectively, Neutron Data Evaluation System (NDES) was developed in FORTRAN-IV by using JAERI FACOM 230-75 system. The following work can be performed by means of NDES; making a graph of neutron data on a cathode ray tube (CRT) of a TSS terminal device, drawing a curve passing through experimental data with the eye-guide method, calculating cross sections with the resonance formulas or optical model, fitting a cross-section curve to experimental data with the resonance formulas, optical model or spline functions, and making a file in the ENDF/B format. In this report, main functions of NDES are described briefly and some examples are given.
