The forced vibrational tests were carried out by using small scale two-dimensional models to investigate the vibrational characteristics of the support post structure in HTTR. Experimental results have been compared with analytical ones obtained from the Lagrange's equation to verify the analytical model.
Effects of the support post structure on the vibrational behavior of the core column have been estimated by the analytical results using the model connecting the support post structure with the one region core column. The following conclusions are derived:
(1) The analytical model is well able to represent the vibrational behavior of the support post structure where the support post rolls and slides and impact force acts on the hot plenum block.
(2) Resonance phenomenon of the support post structure affects the impact force at the dowel in the core column.
