Abstract
This research aims to explore the effectiveness of the workshop conducted in an overseas study tour for university students. Since most Japanese students are unfamiliar with the workshop conducted in overseas study tours, the workshop for reflection on the tour "Let's talk about My Seattle in 2010" designed based on the experience learning model of Kolb (1984) was conducted. Questionnaire just after the workshop showed us positive results in motivation of students, but not in the proactive action. To make sure about positive results in their action, interview research was conducted after 1 year and half from the tour. Finally, positive results were found in proactive action of the students. This research concluded to suggest that the workshop for reflection conducted in an overseas study tour had been effective for proactive learning of university students.
