This paper aims to advocate fee business in the area of the made-to-order group tours. It has been said that the travel industry should change its profit model from commission business to fee business. However, the definition of so-called fee business is still unclear, case by case or person by person. After defining the fee business in this paper, I would like to illustrate how the fee business can be applied in the made-to-order group tours which contain MICE factors. This paper may be of great use to any ordinary salespersons in the travel industry. MICE: An abbreviation of Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Event/Exhibition

In 2013, the Great Sengu (major transfer of the deity to a new shrine building) was done at Izumo Taisha Shrine, for the first time in 60 years. Matsue Branch of the Bank of Japan estimated the tourist consumption in 2013 in Shimane Prefecture to be JPY25.8 billion. As for Matsue-city, the number of visitors to 9 main sightseeing facilities increased by 14%, during Golden Week (Japanese holiday season in early May) compared with previous year. However, we can't rest at ease. It was found that tourist visits are shifting to "matchmaking" places related to the legend of Izumo, from traditional facilities around Matsue Castle. We should not rely solely on attracting young ladies exploiting the recent history boom among them. We need to review the history of the city, and turn the existing resources into working tourist attractions. This study discussed how Matsue has developed as a tourist city in modern period.

As common results of both immigrants, motivation of "visiting friends and relatives" positively influenced "retrospect" activities, in turn, "retrospect" activities positively influenced "future orientation" feeling, and "future orientation" negatively influenced "CES-D score" which is an index for the tendency of depression. However, there were many differences in homeland visits by the immigrants in Japan and by those in Macau. In the revival process of the disaster of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, it has been said that tourism to the stricken area can support the reconstruction of local residents' life. However, some local residents living in the stricken area still have prejudice to tourism and they doubt the positive effect of tourism. A negative perspective for tourism decreases when the local residents meet tourists visiting the stricken area. Those who live in Miyako-shi do not want to remove the ruins after disaster compared to the other 5 coastal cities and those who push forward with tourism to the disaster area regard the preservation of ruin very important.

This study aims to examine the role of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) in the achievement of women's social independence in Northern Tanzania. CBT is often said to contribute to capacity building as well as to income growth and job creation. In this sense, CBT can provide some support of individuals' livelihood at the local level through its profits, and can also help women's social independence in some cases. However, most of the women involved in CBT cannot obtain enough income or job opportunities to fully support themselves. In fact, though they do receive monetary payments as well as small gifts and donations from tourists, such forms of income are insufficient and unreliable for the total subsistence of their households. Thus, CBT works as partial support toward living expenses, but the job opportunities originating from it are too limited to fully secure the livelihood of those women active within it. In conclusion, in its present form, CBT does not function well toward the achievement of women's social independence.

In recent years, the main stream of researches and investigations for Sustainable Tourism in global scale have become considerably detailed scientific and analytic assessing by means of implementation of diverse and appropriate indicators system toward the tourist destinations mainly in UK, USA and Australia where this kind of research is so featured. This tendency should be evaluated highly and essential as well from the viewpoint of reduction and management of tourism impacts within the destinations. On the other hand, simultaneously, it appears to the author, at least, that the above tendency might be occurring a slight negative consequence regarding evaluation to the historic and cultural properties, also the intangible cultural heritage in every region. Because it seems that the priority for recent sustainability research might be regarded mostly as something natural, social and environmental within the tourist destination due to long-term substantial impacts of human activities toward the nature world. In this meaning a sustainable development research of "Blue Plan" organized by UNEP, specifically the article "Towards an Observatory and a 'Quality Label' for Sustainable Tourism in the Mediterranean" has to be taken notice particularly. Because this survey points out quite positively the importance concerning preservation and restoration of historic and cultural heritage of the Mediterranean countries. This research aims to elucidate the important viewpoint on preservation and restoration of cultural heritage environment not only for sustainable development in tourist destination, but also for their "rejuvenation" moreover "revitalization", referring to the national strategic project of restoration at the traditional settlement of Oia, Santorini Island, Aegean Sea, in Greece, which was implemented during 1975-1992. By means of this governmental project fortunately Oia had a great opportunity to revive herself from the town of DEPOPULATION and continuously the other regional stakeholders succeeded to this project in order to be one of the most attractive island destination in the world. Hopefully this case study could suggest a precious meaning concerned with creation & promotion of appealing destinations in Japan as well.

For this paper, the meaning of educational tourism includes study abroad gaining degrees such as bachelor and for language and school trips. There are three key issues and they are the multiple and unclear market segment in educational tourists, the complexity of stakeholders and the complexity of roles played by those stakeholders in educational tourism marketing. To solve these problems, strategic marketing theory is applied focusing on marketing channel strategies. Brisbane is used as a case study for their educational tourism marketing initiative. They established not only tourism but also an effective educational marketing program. A marketing approach from tourism and educational aspects is the key to promoting cities as educational tourism destinations. In order to do this, multiple marketing channel initiatives are suggested using both tourism-oriented and education-oriented channels.

In the past, I selected several key words used in his travelogue series, and tried to analyze the appeal of the travel itself through Shiba's eyes. This time, I selected the term 'nostalgia' as a key word because Shiba seemed to use it frequently to describe his surroundings during his travels. In this paper, I analyzed the frequency of the term and how it was used by Shiba in 43 books. Results indicate that Shiba mainly used the term 'nostalgia' to portray the simple daily life led by people he met on his travels.
