The Architecture and the Product Characteristics of the Inclusive Tour in Japan : The analysis from the Theory of Product Architecture

Abstract
This paper argued and tried to discuss the architecture and product characteristics of the inclusive tour called "packaged tour" in Japan from the point of product architecture scheme, "modular or integral," "open or closed" and so on. The results of this paper were (1) the architecture and product characteristics of the inclusive tour could be analyzed by the product architecture scheme, (2) "skeleton type" product which is consist of only hotel and air have open-modular architecture, (3) functional elements of inclusive tour such as hotel or air have opened interface, (4) inclusive tour is expected to have customer's participation on adding function or service of travel. After the discussion, relating and referring to the conclusion of this paper, some more hypotheses and some subjects for future studies were shown.
