The Asia/Pacific region is expected to experience the highest growth and it would be the world's largest market in passenger traffic through to the year 2025. Under the circumstances, airport competition is really heating up among Asian countries year by year. Many of international hub airports in Asian region develop not only hardware side of infrastructure such as airport facilities and network, but also software side of infrastructure such as conducting transit tours for transit/transfer passengers. Although Singapore has poor historical tourism resources, it is one of the successful tourism-oriented countries in Asia. Behind this background, Singapore government positions Tourism as one of the strategies for improving nation's international competitiveness in a mid-and-long term perspective. Singapore takes advantages of Airport as tourism resources. For Singapore's inbound tourism, airport is not merely infrastructure, but also attractive tourism resources. This study aims to examine efforts to the tourism-oriented country and strengthening of international competitiveness of airport in Singapore.
