Educational tourism has been on the rise recently, especially overseas school tourism, which is very popular among students. However, to the best of our knowledge, only a few studies have empirically investigated the psychological effects of such school trips. Therefore, our study examined the psychological effects of overseas school trips on high school students. We investigated whether such trips could improve skill development and well-being. In addition, we tested whether savoring strategies moderated the psychological effects of overseas school trips. The present study showed that these trips did have a positive impact on well-being, especially when the amplifying savoring was used. However, according to our findings, there were no effects on students' generic skill development. Nevertheless, there is a vital implication that overseas school trips have positive effects on students' well-being. Further research is required to investigate how to facilitate students' skills during overseas
school trips.
