Situation of water database for Basic Plan on Water Cycle Policy and groundwater protection

Abstract

Water is one of the greatest concern of Japan, and we have constructed water database from the beginning of 20^th century. However, every government office has built the database under their own purpose. That is a reason of the complex structure of national database. To spread the information about water to public, the society like Japanese Association of Groundwater Hydrology should make an enlightenment movement in the present situation. We should grasp the situation of database about water, and see the products to people, that is, map or movie. This paper has collected the water concerning database according to the process in Basic Plan on Water Cycle Policy.
