Abstract
Catalytic active species can be uniformly intercalated into layered inorganic ion exchangers to prepare “Intercalation Catalysts”, which have been now globally recognized. We have developed these intercalation catalysts focusing on the following points: (1) uniformly dispersion of active species to enhance the catalytic activity, (2) control of reaction space size to induce molecular recognition, (3) stereo-conformation control of active species to enhance molecular recognition, (4) auxiliary function for catalytic reaction, and (5) fixation of unstable chemical species in liquid phase.Various evidences developed by our group are introduced.
