Uranyl complexes of super uranophiles, p-sulfonatocalix [n] arenes, HnLnn- (n=6, 8) were strongly adsorbed by macroporous type anion exchange resins over a wide pH range. By using the selective reactivity of HnLnn- with UO22+ and strong adsorption by a macroporous type anion exchange resin, AGMP-1, a new purification method of UO22+ from other metal ions such as alkali earth, heavy, and rare earth metal ions is developed.
