Abstract
This study aimed to design and implement a teacher training program on global education and assess its impact on elementary school teachers' anxiety about their teaching capabilities. The program comprised a 3-hour session conducted at an elementary school in Tokyo, organized into three core components: (1) cross-cultural interaction activities, (2) reflective discussions on teaching-related anxiety, and (3) lesson planning tailored to global education. A total of 19 teachers participated in this study. Pre- and post-training questionnaires were administered to participants. Teachers' anxiety levels concerning global education were measured using the Classroom Anxiety Scale (Matsumiya, 2013). The results demonstrated a significant reduction in participants' mean anxiety scores after the training, suggesting that targeted teacher training programs can effectively reduce anxiety related to teaching global education.
