Abstract

Google Sketch Up is a software made by Google that works for graphic design, which can generate data in the form of a 3D image. The advantages of Google Sketch Up besides it can be possible to drawing quickly and easily to leaned, Google Sketch Up also has a lot of additional application/plugin software and one of them is Sun Hours. Sun Hours is an additional application from Google Sketch Up that can be used for make a design simulation. With Sun Hours we can knowing the length of solar radiation from the longest to the shortest through the gradations of color to visualize the data of sunlight presented by the grid on the surface of the building. Therefore using the Sun Hours can facilitate the site analysis that affect the design process so that the result of design can be optimized and agree with the climatic conditions that owned by the site. This paper is purposed to find the placement of vegetation, facade application and building orientation in the masterplan design of Office Area located at Asia Afrika Street, Badnung City, Indonesia.
