The purpose of this study was to create a prototype version of the Barrier-Free Mental Health Evaluation Chart by developing constructs and scale items related to mental barrier-free and examining their content validity with a variety of people, including persons with disabilities. As a result, a prototype version of the Barrier-Free Mental Health Assessment Chart was completed, consisting of four constructs: “Mutual Preparedness for Mobility,” “Consideration of Surroundings,” “Consideration for Communication,” “Understanding of Individual Characteristics,” and 16 scale items. This evaluation chart is not intended to deepen understanding of disability but is an evaluation method that can spread and educate a wide range of people, including people with disabilities, children, and older adults, about the concept of mental barrier-free.
