Abstract
We examined whether plagioclase veins in eclogite from Nové Dvory was previously partial melt or not by comparison of the trace element compositions of garnet and plagioclase and their shapes. The plagioclase veins are rich in Rb, Ba and Sr, while garnet is poor in those elements. In addition, clinopyroxene grains in the veins are euhedral. From the temperature estimated by the composition of garnet and clinopyroxene, we suggest that the melt formation stage was mostly the same as the peak-pressure stage under the eclogite-facies conditions.
