Powder X-ray structure analysis of 3PbO•2CO₂

Abstract

IntroductionWhen PbCO₃(Cerussite) is thermally decomposed, its some intermediate matters are produced by conditions.In this study, we did structure analysis of 3PbO·2CO₂, and find out the reasons that Pb-carbonate produce the intermediate matters.Experiment synthesis of Pb₃(CO₃)₂(OH)_2;HydrocerussitePowder PbCO₃ and K₂CO₃ were mixed, and removed K Synthesis of 3PbO·2CO₂Hydrocerussite was dehydratedResultResult of powder X-ray diffraction experiment, 3PbO·2CO₂ and a few 2PbO·CO₂ were synthesized.Using the calculated index ran the Rietveld analysis for two phases.And discussion the reason of produce the intermediate matters.
