Quantitative estimation of atmospheric O2 and CO2 in the Precambrian by weathering models - Advantage and future

Abstract

Atmospheric evolution in the late Archean and early Paleoproterozoic has been discussed qualitatively. It requires to describe atmospheric evolution quantitatively to better understand its relations to life and ocean evolution and climate. We have estimated atmospheric oxygen and carbon dioxide quantitatively by weathering models.
