Abstract
We report the mechanism of the color development of the opx called Pseudohypersthene which gave off iridesence like the metallic luster .Pseudohypersthene has exsolution lamellas of the cpx in a (100) side, and form of board ilmenite of thickness 50-150nm does exsolution along the cpx lamella. Bright iridesence such as blue, orange and the green was observed in ilmenite lamellas.Iridesence of the ilmenite lamella is synthetic spectrum by the thin film interference of the lamella and an absorption-color of the ilmenite. Characteristic interference spectrum is seen in the visible domain and brings about the color effect.
