Abstract
The purpose of this study is to elucidate the mineralogical characterizations of natural zeolites from Tsuyazaki Peninsula on the bases of Nakamuta(1976) and Ueno & Hanada(1982). We surveyed No.III-subformation, No.IIA-partlayer and No.IC-partlayer in the Tsuyazaki-group. Firstly, by stereoscopic-microscope we observed those minerals and made mineral-separations, secondary by XRD we identified, and finally by scanning-electron-microscope we observed crystal-forms and surface-structures. As the results, we confirmed leonhardite-laumontite in the No.III-subformation, heulandite-clinoptilolite in the No.IIA-partlayer and stilbite in the cementing materials of conglomerates in the No.IC-partlayer.
