Albitization of sodium-rich plagioclase in the albitite contacted with jadeitite from Oya-district, Hyogo Prefecture

Abstract

The unique reaction texture was found in the albitite specimen collected from Ohya-district, Hyogo Prefecture. This albitite specimen was composed of Na-rich plagioclase (Ab₉₂), but albitization of these plagioclase was partly occurred into pure albite (Ab₁₀₀), near the contact boundary with jadeitite directly crystallized from the hydrous fluid.
