Abstract
Orthochrysotile and ortho-type polygonal serpentine are frequently seen in the serpentine veins in Shimodake, Izumimachi, Yatsushiro city, Kumamoto prefecture. Different serpentine species are seen in each part of the vein. In this study, microtextures of the fibrous serpentine included in serpentine veins were observed by TEM, to estimate their forming conditions.
