Wool in arid region

Abstract

The various properties of wool fibers (thermal conductivity, moisture sorption, capillary conductivity, water repellency, etc.) are useful in arid region. This will be explained using the effect of air layer thickness on thermal insulation, the impact of clothing design and color on perceived temperature and relationship between integral heat of sorption and regain of wool fiber.
