Although microscopes have been applied clinically to implant treatment, they have also been reported to be useful for sinus approaches. However, the distance from the alveolar bone of the maxillary sinus on which the selection of the two sinus approach techniques (crestal and lateral approaches) was selected has varied. A decision tree for the approach to the maxillary molar lesion was developed by dividing the two types of implants into two groups: screw-type implants with a minimum longitudinal length of 7 mm, and screwless implants with a minimum longitudinal length of 5 mm.
