Abstract

The purpose of this study was to clarify the effects of learning using e-learning materials on the basics of dementia nursing care for nurses working in various types of facilities based on their scores for the basic knowledge of dementia and self-evaluated dementia care skills. Responses were obtained from 1,010 nurses, who had worked in 31 facilities of a corporate organization. Among these nurses, 375 had and 635 did not have e-learning experience. Multiple regression analysis was performed using basic knowledge of dementia and scores of self-assessment type dementia care skills as objective variables. As a result, it was found that the 3 factors : the 〈status of taking training courses〉, 〈facility〉, and 〈status of e-learning〉 are related to the basic knowledge of dementia and the score of self-assessment type dementia care skill.
