Abstract
This paper focuses on preventive measures against infectious diseases taken
in France, especially issues surrounding the compulsory COVID-19 vaccination. In
France, a law on health crisis management was enacted on August 5 of 2021, which
requires healthcare professionals to be vaccinated against COVID-19. If workers
refuse to do so, their employment contract will be suspended. The suspension with
no payment of remuneration is said to aim at boosting the vaccination rate.
