Abstract
This case involves the plaintiff, X, who was employed by the defendant, Company Y. While X was on leave due to an injury from an accident unrelated to work, Company Y terminated X’s employment upon the expiration of the leave period, citing the conclusion of the employment relationship. The validity of this termination was contested. This manuscript is the result of a review based on the judgment texts (Rodo Hanrei [Labor Law Cases], No. 1244, and Rodo Keizai Hanrei Sokuho [Labor and Economic Law Case Reports], No. 2460).
