Abstract
This article is a quantitative survey research aiming to clarify the business process and characteristics of workers in creative industries from the viewpoints of personal creativity and working environment, comparing with workers in other industries. A questionnaire survey was conducted for workers in creative and other industries, and the resultswere compared. The results show that there was no difference between workers in creative industries andones in other industries in business creativity, and no direct relation was found between business creativity and performance of workers in creative industries. However, there might be some relation between their business creativity and working environment, as their business creativity was affected by their working environment. Moreover, workers with high performance in creative industries had working environmental characteristics of open, autonomous, supportive, challenging, adequate team support and adequate work pressure, and personalcharacteristics of liberal, tolerant for foreign people and sexual minorities, and intolerant for both their and other’s failures. These findings imply that their performance could be enhanced by arranging working environment fitted to the conditions descried above and considering their tolerance.
