Abstract
Structural seismic performance degrades by various disturbances, earthquake and wind etc, and aged deterioration. On that account, there is at the risk for collapse in case of a big earthquake. Quality management of the building is given attention to after the 1995 Hyogo-ken Nanbu, Earthquake in Japan. Currently, a lot of structural damage identification that detect structural damage with the use of sensors is proposed. However, since structural damage is assumed to stiffness-degradation, it is hard to figure out actual damage degree, and to judge whether it needs to repair or reinforce. Then we explore the method of judging the need of repair or reinforcement from the relationship between stiffness-degradation, and real seismic damage and target performance value as one of the techniques that diagnose structural damage degree.
