Abstract
Oscillation phenomena, which caused by interaction between free surface in a tank and flow that is poured down onto the free surface, is important for safety of FBR. Present paper investigated the mechanism of free surface oscillation caused by interaction between free jet and a internal flow in a rectangular tank. Numerical simulation was also conducted using MPS (Moving Particle Semi-Implicit) method. In the calculation, we could simulate the free surface oscillation and the mode transition of free surface oscillation was also confirmed.
