Abstract
A plane solution of an entanglement equation, as an extension of a well known rectilinear co-rotating vortex pair, is obtained.The entanglement equation is derived from the Biot-Savart equation describing the dynamics of a co-rotating vortex pair based on the concept of the localized induction approximation (LIA, for short). Configurations of a coplanar vortex pair are revealed by the analytical solution and are drawn by estimating numerically an integral included in analytical solution. The plane structures of the vortex pair depend on an intervortex separation at boundary.
