Abstract
This paper examines stacking sequence optimization design of composite wing structures maximizing flutter limit with constraints of structural deformation. As a tool for optimization design of the stacking sequence, the Fractal Branch and Bound Method (FBBM) is applied. In order to consider the design constraints, the modified FBBM which utilize the multiple response surfaces is newly proposed.
The applicability of the proposed method is confirmed by performing the stacking sequence optimization of composite wing maximizing the supersonic flutter limit with the constraint of the wing tip deformation.
