The test system for the second methane hydrate offshore production test consisted of conventional downhole equipment and a workover riser system which have been adjusted to the implementing design conditions.
We comprehensively conducted a series of FEED/EPC works toward the production test. Multiple candidates of downhole and riser system were selected and evaluated. Interfaces among the equipment and the riser system, which were supplied by different manufacturers and a drilling rig, were carefully adjusted. FAT/SITʼs were carried out. Many equipment were transported from various countries to Japan and were loaded on the drill ship. Commissioning was carried out onboard and these equipment were finally RIH before the production test and POOH during and after the test.
This paper describes how interfaces among the equipment were adjusted and how various complicated management was intensively performed in the FEED/EPC stage for the production test.
