Geological summary of Tenpoku Seiho Oki-1 exploratory well

Abstract

The exploratory well named Tenpoku Seiho Oki-1（TSO-1）was drilled in 2021. It is located at approximately 30 km west of Enbetsu town near the center of Tenpoku Basin which is elongated north to south off the western coast of the northern Hokkaido to the west. Although the result was dry with minor show, the well reached down to 3154 m MDBRT as scheduled and subsurface information was acquired for further hydrocarbon exploration.
